Murphy Bannerman

Murphy Bannerman is the former Communications and Research Coordinator of the ADLCC. Murphy began her career as a photojournalist with a focus on disability, race, and gender. She has worked for the Arizona Republic and the Hutchinson News in Kansas. After the 2016 election, Murphy felt emboldened to take direct action through community organizing. Over the course of 2017, Murphy has organized the Women's March Phoenix, the We the People Summit series, and was an organizer with CASE. Murphy is an Arizona State University graduate, a Leading for Change fellow, and an Emerge Arizona 2017 "Woman of the Year" recipient as an Organizer of the Women's March on Phoenix. When not working she can be found playing with her pitbull's Bennie and Blue.
